This week, on International Women’s Day, I was fortunate to be one of the women highlighted in a publication focused on female entrepreneurs. It’s all part of a program named Project Two.Eight within the Columbia Venture Community.

Two.Eight — what’s that? This number stands for a lot, or in some cases you could also say not a lot, because female founders raised only 2.8% of all capital in 2019 according to Crunchbase. That’s in comparison to 98% of funding that was raised by male founders.

It’s time to change that.

It’s incredible and inspiring to connect with so many female entrepreneurs through this program, and I hope you’ll be just as inspired when you read this article by Jaki Johnson.

Are you a female entrepreneur, too, someone who’s thinking about or working towards starting your own business? Please comment in the box below if so. I’d love to connect with you and learn more about how we can all help support one another, and more importantly raise that number.
